some pages not showing up; can't whitelist
I installed NoScript a few days ago, running in parallel with AdBlock Plus and Social Fixer on Firefox 21.0. All was working beautifully until tonight when I went to feed my Candy Crush addiction and found the page wouldn't load any more (it had been working fine earlier on). Same goes for other games from King.com while games from other developers are still loading ok. I tried to whitelist various bookmark URLs but the "Allow" button is greyed out. As I'm new to NoScript I expect I've clicked on the wrong thing but I am also unable to guess what it was or remove it. Can you suggest what I should do to get the pages loading and the whitelist open again? Grateful for any help you might be able to offer.

Re: some pages not showing up; can't whitelist
Which sites are on your NoScript menu?
Anything on the Blocked Objects or Untrusted submenus?
Anything in Error Console (Ctrl+Shift+J)?
When you say that the Allow button is greyed out, which sites are you unable to allow? Is it 'Allow king.com' or similar?
Have you accidentally enabled 'Options - Advanced - HTTPS - Behaviour - Forbid active web content unless it comes from a secure (HTTPS) connection'?

Re: some pages not showing up; can't whitelist
This sound like my NS issue: The whitelist is ignored, allowed scripts are no longer loaded.
In my experience all web sites are affected. I described it in another thread, before I found this one: http://forums.informaction.com/viewtopi ... 079#p55079
My example: www.ebay.com
entries in the whitelist:
ebay.con, ebaystatic.com
sites on NoScript menu:
ebay.com - verbieten (forbid)
ebaystatic.com - verbieten (forbid)
(I use NS with German localization, "verbieten" is the option to forbid/disallow scripts, indicating that scripts on these sites are allowed)
Blocked objects/untrusted submenus:
nothing
Error Console:
messages on ONE SINGLE attempt to use the ebay search engine
- very many: error logs on unknown properties and ignored declations
- very many: expected declarations, but found "*"
- a few: expected media, but found "-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio"
- a few: error processing value (e.g. for "filter", or colour expected, but found #f1f1f1100)
all these errors refer to ir.ebaystatic.com or gh.ebaystatic.com
Whitelist:
Of course, I cannot add ir.ebaystatic.com to the whitelist, as this is already covered by ebaystatic.com. The allow button is greyed out because of that.
Options - HTTPS:
absolutely nothing is enabled in Behaviour or Cookies
So it looks like the site code is messed up somehow by NoScript's filters. This strange behavior started overnight, before all was fine and script filtering as expected.

Re: some pages not showing up; can't whitelist
OK, I'm looking into your configuration but did not find anything weird yet.
Could you please check whether disabling all your extensions except NoScript helps?
If it does, please try Standard Diagnostic to find the possibly conflicting add-on.

Re: some pages not showing up; can't whitelist
I did check this earlier (before posting in this forum), and repeated the test right now: In my case, disabling all other Add-Ons does not solve the problem.

Re: some pages not showing up; can't whitelist
The issue still persists.
I updated NS to 2.6.6.8, and disabled ALL other add-ons. No change. Scripts are not executed on any site, unless I completely diable NS's script blocking!
Please help!
thx!

Updated to NS 2.6.6.9 and FF. 17.0.7 - Problem still persists and I am unhappy that nobody cares.
Had a look into error console. There's nothing related to NS in there.

What Plugins do you have?
What happens if you disable all Plugins?
And all extensions except for NoScript?
Does the problem persist in a new, clean Profile with only NoScript installed?

Re: some pages not showing up; can't whitelist
Creating a new profile deleted all my favorites and stuff (also a copy the profile folder renamed to .backup!!!!). This really was stupid advice!
NS in the blank new profile (nothing else installed so far) shows exactly the same behaviour: whitelisted sites are still blocked (yes, I added them to the whitelist again).

Re: some pages not showing up; can't whitelist
Did you change any NoScript configuration at all in the new profile?

Does just that.
It should not affect your old Profile & you can always switch between them.

Re: some pages not showing up; can't whitelist
Sorry, it was not your fault, I just got annoyed by FFs profile manager. I had made this "backup" and blue-eyedly decided to delete the old profile to start FF without any old settings.
So the new profile is a default profile created by FF.
Add-ons: I installed NoScript, nothing else.
Plug-Ins: There are many: 2007 MS Office System, Adobe Acrobat, Citrix ICA Client, iTunes Application detector, Java Deployment Kit 6.xx, Java Platform SE, MS Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin, QuickTime Plugin 7.6.9, RealPlayer LiveConnect-Enabled Plug-In, Shockwave Flash, VLC web plugin. Most of these are installed by the system administrator, so I can´t tell if any of them were added or updated recently.
I did not change any NS preferences, except adding a few sites to the whitelist for testing purposes.

Re: some pages not showing up; can't whitelist
Thank you for pointing me to Plug-Ins, I was not fully aware of the difference between plug-ins and extensions.
Unfortunately disabling all Plug-ins and extensions does not help.
I summarize -
Extensions: negative
Plug-Ins: negative
Profile: negative
NS prefs: negative (they are part of the user profile, right?)
As said before, I use Windows 7 and Firefox 17.0.7. FF says it is updated on channel "esr". Does anyone else use this specific version of FF with NS? It is an administrated computer, therefore I have no privileges to downgrade or install another version of FF.
