this is way over my knowledge level but i have read that if javascript is enabled that the website can collect all kinds of data from your computer, like CPU ID#, HDD serial # etc - most of this thru WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation?)
If this is true, can we use NoScript and specifically ABE to prevent any calls from the browser to WMI even when javascript is enabled for some sites?

I'm no expert, but a quick search suggests that WMI access is done using ActiveX controls. In which case, it can't be done in Firefox, only Internet Explorer, so you're safe.
