Cannot stop FlashGot from downloading!

Help!!!
Downloaded FlashGot add-on and now I can't stop it from downloading 300 files!!! How do you stop it? It's slowing down my computer!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

FlashGot doesn't automatically download anything?

Have you shut down Firefox?

I started the download, but changed my mind and couldn't cancel. Is there a way to cancel???

You should be able to kill whichever download manager FlashGot is using.

What download manager are you using?
URL to the site with these links that you're downloading?
What happens if you close the browser?
(Alt+F,X looks to be a shortcut key combo. Oh, you're on Linux so Ctrl+Q should still work there.)

This has been going on for months, and the Flashgot "developers" play dumb. I put developers in quotes because I assume they have no idea what they are doing.

Developers stands for wannabe programmers anyways.
