DownloadManager Options
DownloadManager Options
On my computer, FlashGot shows two download managers: FreeDownloadManager and JDownloader. I only have FDM installed. Why is it showing JDownloader? How do I remove it from the list?

Hmm. Mine too.
Probably an oversight that you'll just need to wait for the next release to take care of.

Re: DownloadManager Options
hm, I am not quite sure of the following is related (but IMO possible):
I have deactivated in FlashGot 1.1.9 autodetection of DL managers, than I cleaned the protocol, confirmed it got cleaned correctly and made a new launch of Firefox.
Taking a look at the protocol I find the complete list of the not-found DL manager, not of JDownloader and the actual installed Net Transport. At the end it says, that this took 313 ms time. (Not that I could drink my coffee in this time, but the FAQ says itself, that this time can be saved.)
My suspicion: if FlashGot misses to respect the autodetection-option it may also miss to find the correct DL managers.
BTW: The wrong detection of JDownloader is not only a visual glitch. All DL managers, which come behind that in the alphabetical order will not get automatically selected after installation, as FlashGot takes the first "found" one.
It would be nice - although no show stopper - to correct this.

Re: DownloadManager Options
I think you're on to something, like a bug
.
FlashGot 1.1.9.1.
SeaMonkey 2.
---
1.1.8.9 works correctly.
An update from 1.1.8.9 to 1.1.9 works correctly. But then an update from 1.1.9 to 1.1.9.1 breaks.
A new install of 1.1.9 works. (Ditto in SeaMonkey 1.1.17.)
A new install of 1.1.9.1 is broken. (Ditto in SeaMonkey 1.1.17 & Gecko/20090206 Minefield/3.2a1pre.)
---
Also, assuming you had other downloaders showing (carried over from earlier FlashGot version installs), I believe that with the current versions, if the download manager was not already running, it would not be automatically loaded by a FlashGot Link/Selection/All operation? <-- This may be wrong & it may have just been a broken 1.1.9.1 that I was noticing.
Note that Cosmo is seeing issues with 1.1.9, so perhaps these are separate though somewhat related issues?
flashgot.log finds no downloaders:
Yet FlashGot.exe.test does correctly show Orbit & Net Transport 2:

Re: DownloadManager Options
Autodetection is fixed in latest development build.
Regarding JDownloader and Wellget appearing in the DM list, that's because there's no reliable way to tell if they're present or not untili you send them a download.
I can see the problem with the automatic selection taking alphabetic priority over really present download managers.
I'll try to fix it before stable release.
