options popup not popping

I have been using noscript as an add-on for many years, one of the few that I use, so in principle I know how to use it. Just recently I noticed that on some sites the options button at the bottom that would allow to override the general settings does not work properly. The pop-up does not show, it seems hidden behind the page but I am not sure how to access it. It's making me mad as some sites are not usable without disabling noscript totally or booting up another browser. I am sure this is a silly thing but I can't figure out why this only affects some sites. I tried to make the page smaller or larger but no dice. Is there any other key I can press to open the window to allow certain scripts on a particular site for this one time?
