Selection default for one vid only

Post by OneVidOnly »

YTube offers many types and resolutions; one is enough. Is there a way by default to select a specific type and resolution? Can the FlashGot "Selection Filter" qualify on the Name field, similar to the Type field, to specify "medium.mp4"? Can the Selection Filter or Select URLs windows allow copy to the clipboard? Clipboard access allows script parsing and selection. Any other site specific filtering available?

I agree.
Some work is needed here.

An option to use the old method, or the current.

And if the current, then there should be some type of sorting of the list.
Thinking by ... not sure? Throw something out & see how it goes.

By type, by size?

IMO, MP4 would be preferred over anything else.
Almost always for every MP4 there is an associated FLV, with the FLV being the same bitrate, though slightly larger in size.
The others, webm & whatnot, are not going to be as efficient a container, so bigger, for no good reason, so it doesn't make sense to want it at all unless a particular situation requires it, where MP4 would not otherwise work.

So let me see, easily, what is available in MP4, & then let me compare that to FLV, just to make sure that one may offer a higher bitrate not otherwise available for the other, & that would be that.

I second that.

How about letting the user choose to sort by size, by type/format or by resolution? Grouping the files would be nice, too. Or how about providing checkboxes, each of them representing a specific format/resolution/type, so the user can explicitly choose what is shown?
