possible bug with Youtube File Naming

Post by hasegawa »

when right clicking on FlashGot Icon near Address Bar, it properly shows File Names
for example: 95 MB medium video/mp4 - Voyager_Journey_to_the_Stars_medium.mp4 :)

but why File Name changes back to "videoplayback.mp4" when download is started? :(
File Name should stay "Voyager_Journey_to_the_Stars_medium.mp4" instead of changing back to "videoplayback.mp4"
I am using Orbit Download Manager.
Please fix it.

this doesn't happen when i use Firefox's Built-in Download Manager. file name stays same. doesn't change back to videoplayback.mp4
so i guess its really a bug that happens somewhere when
FlashGot sends Youtube download link to Orbit Download Manager.
causing file name to change back to videoplayback.mp4

It is more that particular download managers are not able accept a name passed to them.

FlashGot does have some "name" options (flashgot.media.guessName is one) but they probably are not going to make a difference.

Hi I`m having the exact same problem with FDM, this guy portrays it very well:
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... &t=2561099

I tested the dev build 1.5.5.3rc1 too, to no avail.

Is there a way to change how Flashgot sends the parameters to a DM, or how a DM receives/interprets it? The video name somehow appears correct in the "comment" box in FDM..
Could by any chance an option to change how parameters are parsed be added to about:config, like "%url% %filename%" or something?
