Have to re-allow websites

Post by Scott216 »

I keep having to allow site that I've already told noscript to allow. I don't know if this is related to Firefox upgrades. The problem seems to happen more frequently then the Firefox upgrade process, but I'm not positive.

Also, can NS sync setting across different computers?

That shouldn't happen, unless you only temporarily allowed the sites.

Can you try a new profile, installing only NoScript, and see whether the problem persists?

It can, via the usual Firefox Sync, but Sync is buggy (not NoScript's fault). I'd suggest using the Export and Import buttons instead.

I know how the temporary setting works, it's not that. It happens on sites I go to a lot. All of a sudden it's not allowed.

Should I turn Firefox sync off?

Should I turn Firefox sync off?
It's certainly worth trying. If that doesn't help, then:

Please create a clean profile from scratch. Install only NoScript, leaving all the defaults.
Does the problem still exist? If not, NoScript is not the culprit.

Try adding back your extensions, one at a time, until you find the one that causes the issue.
Then remove all the others, pairing only the suspected one with NoScript, to confirm that the remaining one is the issue.
If the problem is solved even with all add-ons reinstalled, then the previous profile was probably corrupt. Problem solved.

Let us know, thanks.
