[RESOLVED] FG and jDownloader bug
Since 5 days ago I noticed a strange problem between flashgot and jDownloader: everytime I select "Flashgot Link" flashgot seems to send atleast 3 requests to JD to download the file, with results in multiple messages regarding duplicate files.
Log:
JDownloader response:
0
JDownloader response:
0
JDownloader response:
0
JDownloader response:

JDownloader response:

However I already talked to the guys at JD and after some analysis this is what they found out: "No Bug in JD. The connection is instant closed by flashgot! JD works fine. IT responds correct but has no chance to do so as the connection is closed directly after the request is send. Maybe bug in flashgot or flashgot+firefox combination".
Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: FG and jDownloader bug
Nothing has changed in JD support for ages.
Does this happen also in a clean profile with just FlashGot installed?
Which JD version are you using?

Hello. Yup, I tried to clean install both JD and FG (even cleared the about:options on Firefox regarding FG) but the problem persisted. I'm currently using jDownloader 2.Giorgio Maone wrote:Nothing has changed in JD support for ages.

In the JD forums atleast a couple more guys had the same problem.

Re: FG and jDownloader bug
Hmm, FlashGot is tested (and still works just fine for me) on JD 0.9x.
So I tend to believe it's a problem introduced by some change in JD 2 (isn't it still in beta? where do I download it?)
Anyway, could you confirm by trying to install stable JD 0.9x and checking whether it works in your setup?

JD 2 can be downloaded from here.Giorgio Maone wrote:Hmm, FlashGot is tested (and still works just fine for me) on JD 0.9x.

I will try 0.9x as soon as I can and I'll get back to you then. Thanks.

Re: FG and jDownloader bug
This is from the bug report: http://svn.jdownloader.org/issues/7779
"Updated by jiaz 1 day ago
Status changed from Assigned to Closed
Resolution set to Wont Fix
No Bug in JD. The connection is instant closed by flashgot! JD works fine. IT responds correct but has no chance to do so as the connection is closed directly after the request is send. Maybe bug in flashgot or flashgot+firefox combination"
And this was my reply in http://board.jdownloader.org/showpost.p ... stcount=12
"I don't understand how this is possible, because the same Firefox (19.0) and Flashgot (1.5.4.2) work my previous (freezed) JD2 in my spare folder. I waited 10 minutes, and there was no re-launch of the download.
This old version is "Build date: Mon Feb 25 15:17:06 cet 2013" (UpdateSettings.autoupdatecheckenabled is disabled).
Perhaps inadvertently so far it worked?"
Maybe the developers of FG and JD2 together can find the reason.

Re: FG and jDownloader bug
In facts, it must be a recently introduced bug in JD2.
You just need to type http://127.0.0.1:9666/flashgot in the URL bar and hit enter to observe the difference between older and newer JD versions: the former return their executable path and invocation command line, the latter abort the connection (no FlashGot involved there, just a normal HTTP request from the browser to JD's web interface).

Re: FG and jDownloader bug
I try 3 versions of JD with typing http://127.0.0.1:9666/flashgot into FF URL bar.
JD2 Build Mar 05 and Feb 25 gives 2 times the dialog
I click on both dialog to Allow, and FF says The connection was reset - the is no difference between the two versions.
(Allow and deny works the same way !!)
I add a link with FG:
The newer doesn't work with FG,
but the older Build Feb 25 works well with FG !
JD 0.9.581 gives a dialog too,
but clicking on Allow results the displaying of the executable path and invocation command line, as you told.
D:\Soft\JDownloader/JDownloader.jar java -Xmx512m -jar D:\Soft\JDownloader/JDownloader.jar in FF
However, I get the same result clicking on Deny !!
And now what to do ? Could you communicate with JD people ?

I posted everything again into my thread

but didn't get replies, and the thread is "Declined".
Now I wait, maybe something happens.
