RFE Media Size Filter

Post by Mamba »

Many of the pages I download .flv files from also have one or more Flash ads. FlashGot recognizes these. It would be nice to be able to set a filter so that FlashGot only picked up files of Over X size. I could then set it to ignore media of less than say 5MB and filter out the ads.

That's a very interesting point about FlashGot interacting with ads.

Rather than basing it on media size, I'd rather have FlashGot coordinate with an actual ad blocker, like Adblock Plus, RequestPolicy, or even the NoScript whitelist. But that kind of dependency is probably undesirable, unless there's a clean way that Giorgio can have FlashGot ignore anything that something else blocked.

flashgot.media.minSize.flv

Defaults to 500,000 bytes.
Change yours to 5,000,000 bytes.

Thanks therube! That should work. I wish that option was in the FG options, rather than buried in about:config
