Allow Flash Embed

For about a month or two I have been unable to click on flash embeds to allow them on http://www.thefirstrow.eu/ . The only way I have been able to allow flash is to untick "Forbid Adobe Flash." And this can be an issue since on some of their pages they have Flash embeds layered and some of these elements I would prefer to keep blocking.

This was a problem I suffered briefly as well and brought it up with Giorgio a while back but it resolved itself pretty quickly and hasn't happened again for a while, so I assumed it was something on my end. Can you verify it is not something on your end by creating a new profile with JUST NoScript and try to see if it still happens. If not, then you are getting interference from elsewhere but if it is, then we can look at NS for potential cause.

It appears to me that first you have to register at bet365 dot com.

It turns out that my blocking HOSTS file service regards this as, at the very least, spyware that sets a tracking cookie.
Perhaps the site will not let you watch the videos unless you allow the tracking cookie.

Still, the tracking cookie shouldn't have anything to do with NoScript. Have you registered at bet365, as they seem to require?

Just finished testing on my XP machine and I am getting the same result.

I think that would be after you allowed the flash to allow certain embeds to play? Where I am having an issue is when clicking on the the embed that is blocked NoScript is not giving the pop-up to where I can allow it. And so far I have only seen this issue on http://www.thefirstrow.eu/ on both PCs if I go to YouTube or the like when clicking on a blocked flash embed the option to allow pops up. And I would like to state again this has only been an issue recently, starting approximately a month ago.

I'm on there poking around now. It's seeming like it is something on their end. Some of the pages NoScript works per usual. It seems to be the pages where .04stream.com is the embed(I don't think o4stream is the issue?) Like I said before FirstRow seems to layer things, it's like they put a layer over those embeds preventing the pointer recognizing a clickable action. If that's the case I just can't figure out what is layered over top?

They change links/pages often pending shows/events, so it might be hard to direct to a page with the embeds causing the hang up? But I think their ESPN link is fairly constant with o4stream embed? http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/137666/ ... -espn.html

If it is them I'm not sure you can do much to help? But I would appreciate it if you guys had a look. Since I'm sure you can see by going to their site, it is highly recommended to keep as much blocked as you can, lol.

At that point I had actual audio (Nicks game or something) but no video. Clicking the "Free Download" only took me to http://lp.ilivid.com/?lpid=956&sysid=406&appid=486&subid=28596324. (Don't know if I had all the needed domains or whatnot, & I certainly wasn't about to download anything.)

Oh, & "e04" (or whatever) was listed in the Blocked Objects menu (I did allow that).
(I have no account nor whatever else could be needed for that site.)



(If you can get stuff like that, be glad. My mother in Florida usually cannot watch the Baltimore Ravens on TV. Though she will be able to see the AFC Championship this weekend & then when we're in the Superbowl .)

... I probably wouldn't care to much since they have other links usually with events. But this seems to be their prefer source. And if I have to I can just allow flash after I permit 04stream

That's pretty much the definition of clickjacking. Do you ever get a ClearClick warning from NoScript?


@ Giorgio: I regret that I haven't the time now to investigate further than what's above, allowing more in NS and RequestPolicy, but if you have time, can you see if indeed the site is "layering" (elements) above one another? TIA

Yes, it works that way. But there are multiple flash embeds on the page. And I would prefer to only allow what I wanted, allowing flash that way lets all the embeds run. But I will do it that way if necessary.
