How do I create a shortcut key for Permanently Allow All
How do I create a shortcut key for Permanently Allow All
Hey everyone.
I have been looking around about:config and the options that NoScript has and I cannot find a way to create a shortcut for "Allow All This Page".
If I could find out how to do this, it would save me a lot of time and clicks (I prefer keyboard to mouse).
Thanks.

Re: How do I create a shortcut key for Permanently Allow All
The mere thought sets off alarm bells in my head. Why do you want to do this?
You can permanently allow each site individually, and the menu is sticky, so that shouldn't take long. If there are too many to do that, then you probably have not been able to review each one - in which case, you should not permanently allow them. Temporarily allow, maybe.
'Allow all this page' is a convenience feature, which I never use, to save a few clicks. But let's not go overboard with the convenience, otherwise you end up with basically 'Scripts Globally Allowed' all the time, which is marked 'Dangerous' for several good reasons.

More than dangerous for a single user!
The existence of mapping for this would endanger the whole NS community.
Guaranteed that a user would unknowingly hit any shortcut for Perm Allow and possibly lose their house.

So there is no way to do this?

Re: How do I create a shortcut key for Permanently Allow All
Permanently Allow All of *any* page essentially amounts to Allow Scripting Globally, because you have no idea in advance of which scripts a given site will call (which may change over time), and which scripts will be called by those, and by succeeding generations of scripts. Please read that sticky post carefully to understand why the first sentence is true.
There is already an about:config entry for Temporarily Allow,
noscript.keys.tempAllowPage
which is blank by default. I tried Ctrl Alt 4, and it worked for me. No guarantee that it won't conflict with a shortcut to something else on your system, but if so, just keep trying until you find one that isn't taken.

Re: How do I create a shortcut key for Permanently Allow All
So how does this work?
http://puu.sh/2eD4c
The only thing that I seem to be allowed to modify is the value. The other 2 beneath were already there, so I followed their format and typed 'ctrl shift .' hoping this will create a hotkey.
I tried pressing 'ctrl shift .' when prompted with the notification on a random website, and nothing happened. Tried other combinations too and got the same result. Also, this is just temporarily allowance, isn't it? No way to just allow pages?

Try using VK_PERIOD instead of a dot.

Not working.
What about a hot key for allowing the website you're on?

Re: How do I create a shortcut key for Permanently Allow All
There is simply no way to temporarily allow ALL scripts for current page by one click / shortcut. You need to click many times until finally all scripts are temporarily allowed
this is extremely annoying and I am surprised that it is still not fixed after 7+ years
Author also won't to add shortcut to temporarily allow all scripts globally which would fix the problem

Yeah? You seen NoScript Options > Advanced > Trusted, "Cascade top document's permissions..." yet?iii wrote: it is still not fixed after 7+ years
... like an about:config pref named noscript.tempGlobal...iii wrote:Author also won't to add shortcut to temporarily allow all scripts globally [...]

Best you actually do some research before ranting on a support forum, otherwise you just make yourself look silly.
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!
