[Fixed] NoScript breaks redirects to URLs with forced HTTPS

Post by mjh563 »

Hi, I've noticed that NoScript prevents server redirects to sites that are in the "forced HTTPS" list.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install NoScript into a new profile
2. Go to Options > Advanced > HTTPS and add input.mozilla.org to "Force the following sites to use secure (HTTPS) connections"
3. Go to https://www.mozilla.org/about/forums/
4. Click the Feedback link near the bottom of the page

Actual results:

Nothing happens

Expected results:

The page at https://input.mozilla.org is loaded

This worked as expected in 2.6 but fails in 2.6.1 or higher. Tested using Firefox 18 beta.

Error Console shows:

Code: Select all

[NoScript HTTPS] Forced URI https://input.mozilla.org/

Code: Select all

[NoScript HTTPS] Forced Channel https://input.mozilla.org/
And the page never loads.

With NoScript 2.6rc1, Error Console still displays the same message, though the page will load as expected.

Did this thread get missed? The problem is still happening in the current version.

Thanks. :)

I can't reproduce this. If I disable HTTPS Everywhere, then I see the Error Console message, but the page works fine.

Issue still exists.

You need to check with >= FF 18, so Beta at this point.

Yes, that seems to have fixed it.
