[Fixed]NoScript not remembering file:// whitelist permission

Post by eljay »

Hi there,

I'm using NoScript 2.6.3, with Firefox 17.0.1.

When I allow local files, NoScript allows them to run for that session, but when I next next start my browser it disables them again. file:// still appears in the whitelist, but the NoScript menu shows 'Allow file://' rather than 'Mark file:// as untrusted' as it should be. I've tried adding 'file:' to the whitelist as well but nothing seems to work.

It started occurring after an update about a month ago. Has anyone else had this issue?

Are other preferences (outside of NoScript, even browser in general) being preserved after restart?

Hi,

Yes, everything else is being preserved. NoScript is working perfectly for websites.

Please try to export, clean and reimport your whitelist.

Thanks! I used the 'Reset' button to clear all the settings back to the default and it's now working. I had tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it before but I couldn't clear the prefs. Thanks all! :)
