Firefox 17 connects to secure2.informaction.com at startup even though plugin updates have been disabled. There is no other internet traffic when starting Firefox except one connection to my ISP (investigating that one). The other plugins do not seek connections.
Why is NoScript and FlashGot using port 443 without clear cause and without permission? What encrypted data are they sending?
How to stop Firefox statup calling secure2.informaction.com?

Excellent replies. Thank you, that covers all the bases - as does NoScript (pretty much).
