I'm afraid I can't tell you any more than is in that document. I haven't delved into the finer details of ABE configuration; my focus is more on building a friendlier interface for it.

You can wait and see whether Giorgio replies, or you can experiment :).

They are disjointed for historical reasons (INCLUSION came later than SUB), and have a different implementation, but they're semantically equivalent.
