Adding a new link protection site

Post by DaBassMan »

Hi all!
I'm a long time user, first time poster and I have a request.
Could FlashGot please add anonym.to to the link protector list?
I've been putting this off for a long time in hopes that maybe someone
else would ask for it. So I guess it must be me that gets off his butt
and request it. Can't expect someone else to do the "dirty work" if I don't!

Thanks!

It is supported, or at least it used to.
Could you show me one or more links which don't work?

When posting long links, please wrap them in [url] tags, or check 'Do not automatically parse URLs'. The board software truncates long links.

Ooops! I apologize. I was having trouble getting the URL tag to work right.

Not at all :). Lots of people have this trouble.
I was having trouble getting the URL tag to work right.
The syntax is:

Code: Select all

[url=http://www.example.com]Click here![/url]

OK, given the following 4 anonym.to links (2 "proper" links and 2 text URLs),

test1
test2

Code: Select all

http://anonym.to/?http://flashgot.net/test3
http://anonym.to/?http://flashgot.net/test4
no matter if I use "FlashGot Link" on each individually or I select all them and use "FlashGot Selection", I finally get 4 flashgot.net links.
So it seems FlashGot's generic redirection is working fine.
Are you observing anything different?

Oh man! I guess I didn't know as much about FlashGot as I thought!
I did just as you said Giorgio. I highlighted a few links, right clicked and
chose FlashGot Selection, and low and behold, it worked!

Thanks for cluing me in on that, Giorgio! 8-) :D
