need help w/streaming video's at amazon
Hi, I am trying to stream instant video from amazon.com. I just don't know how to get flash to work when noscript does not prompt for objects. With all temp enabled, I hit watch video, but noscript does not prompt for any objects (flash), so it doesn't start. To test I disabled noscript and the video worked fine. Can someone please show me what to do so that flash is enabled for amazon without disabling noscript. I'm sure there's a way, i just know little about tech things.
Thank you so much!

I think the link in above post is not showing right because I am signed in to amazon.com as needed to be able to view movies. Posting link here again in case shows better.

You need to put the URL in tags.
Though this or similar, [url=ht ... ry A Case".
Looks like it is a pay service, so, I'll say bye.
Any free shows/clips, preferably that do no need login?

Hi therube,
Thanks for thinking of that. Here's a free one there.

Working for me.
It's a Flash clip that I see.
(You can see the same program on PBS, also for free
.)
Don't know if all those are needed, but they are what were there & what I allowed.

Re: need help w/streaming video's at amazon
Hi,
I don't understand how it could work, unless my settings on noscript are different than yours? Mine are fairly much on default settings.
For amazon, the only things I have available to enable, are +ssl-images-amazon.com and amazon.com. The other one, images-amazon.com only shows as a noscript symbol on the sign in page as a flash object which I allowed as well. It doesn't show in the whitelist as is an object. Noscript does not prompt for anything else after those are enabled, which is why there is no flash offered, no objects are showing as blocked. Once I hit the play button, which does nothing; I can scroll down a bit and there is a list showing that the movie is playing, but it's not. It needs flash I assume, but there is nothing asking for it, no way to enable it.
Could it be some settings in my noscript? I think most of my settings in noscript are default settings. In embeddings, all are checked except No placeholder for objects coming from sites marked as untrusted, and Collapse blocked objects. Could there be about: things in the whitelist that I need and don't have in there?
Thanks for your help therube.

Re: need help w/streaming video's at amazon
Hi again. I did an export in the whitelist and it gave me the list below. While some are familiar, some aren't, but either way, I don't know why they are showing, as just informacion and recaptcha are whitelisted right now, and nothing but google.com is blocked. I see there are amazon things in there. Maybe that's why I'm having problems on Amazon? If so, how do I get rid of those listings?
The spam filter won't let me show the whole list, but here are the amazon ones:

None of these are visible anywhere in noscript, but they are lurking somewhere I guess."untrusted":images-amazon.com http://images-amazon.com https://images-amazon.com "alwaysShowObjectSources":false,

When you're on amazon.com, check the "Untrusted" submenu of the NoScript menu and allow them.Guest wrote: None of these are visible anywhere in noscript, but they are lurking somewhere I guess.

Dear Girgio and Therube,
Oh my gosh, I am so embarrassed.
I've had noscript at least 5 years, and never ever used or noticed the 'untrusted', and as well, I never understood why in some posts in the forum, there was talk of items in the untrusted submenu. I could never figure out what was meant by that. I use temp allow and revoke mainly, and just have never noticed the untrusted there.. oh boy!
This sure explains why a few sites never worked well for me. Thank you so much! I can see the videos fine now, and wow, just crazy. Thank you Giorgio and Therube, so much for your kindness in helping me!
