I have a wish:
Could you please add a link to URLVoid.com to the Noscript.net/about pages called from the Firefox Noscript plugin when shift+click mouse at the Allow/Forbid [website] from the NoScript menu?
just the same as already is done for
WOT Scorecard about [website]
McAfee SiteAdvisor® rating for [website]
Webmaster Tips Site Information about [website]
Safe Browsing Diagnostic on [website]
hpHost Report on [website]
for URLvoid that could be:
URLvoid about [website]
usage:
http://www.urlvoid.com/scan/domainName/
with domainName replaced by the real domain name.
It provides a list with the scan results from a lot of virus/malware scanners being CLEAN (in green) or DETECTED (in red) and a link to that report about viruses / malware at the specified website. This list is easy to use and the result is easy to see.
You can check URLVoid at http://www.urlvoid.com
I have this piece of text pasted from the URLvoid.com website:
Urlvoid.com is a FREE service developed by NoVirusThanks Company Srl at the end of May 2010 that allows users to analyze a website address with multiple reputation engines and domains blacklists, such as Google SafeBrowsing, Norton SafeWeb and MyWOT to facilitate the detection of possible dangerous websites.
It works if the urlvoid.com domain is trusted by Noscript and is allowed to use scripts.
Thank you very much.
URLVoid.com
Re: URLVoid.com
Until/if this is adopted from the NoScript web page itself, you can bypass the NoScript page & go directly:
Revise the Preference, noscript.siteInfoProvider with this value:
Now I'm not sure of the exact meaning of the %utf% & %ace% (not documented anywhere that I see), but it looks to get the job done.
(utf8 looks to pull the selected site name & I guess it ensures it is in a "utf8" format. ace ...?)

Code: Select all
http://www.urlvoid.com/scan/%utf8%%ace%/

Re: URLVoid.com
Looks like a worthwhile site.
Kind of like the virustotal of this type of service.
Though ...
http://www.faststone.org/
URLVoid shows no problems, http://www.urlvoid.com/scan/faststone.org/, yet Malwarebytes Anti-Malware blocks them. (And I notified them of that.)
Yesterday (as it happened) I visited faststone & unless I was pulling from cache, all was fine (from what I could see & tell).
Today, it just says, "403 Forbidden".
So the point is, while all these services are great, you actually need something that is effective while you're surfin. Something like, say, NoScript
