issue after latest update

Post by yaeliane »

Excuse my english, it's a "google translation" from french

Since the last update, (http://flashgot.net/?ver=1.4.8.5&prev=1.4.8.4) Media flashgot found small pieces of video and not the full video
eg in this page

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xua7t4 ... s?start=19

media flashgot find 58 pieces of 500 KB !

what can I do ? Is this an temporary issue, a bug ?

Was this the page, http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xua7t4_martin-winckler-entretien-integral-a-l-occasion-de-en-souvenir-d-andre_news?
I'm seeing 1 part, 316MB.

(Note that the "?start=19" will through you off by 19 seconds, if it was unintended.)

Possibly cookie related, so open a Private Browsing session & see if the same thing happens there?

Yes,
the "start=19" is here because I try to watch the video in DailyMotion after 19 seconds, having the same issue in original page wich was
http://www.mediapart.fr/journal/culture ... =prolonger

as you say, the video should be 300 MB but I only got many little pieces when trying to download with Media Flashgot.

There was this dealing with youtube, but don't recall why some were seeing it?

Code: Select all

v 1.3.9
================================================
+ [Media] Work-around to download whole Youtube media
even when served split in 2MB chunks
  2MB chunks
PS: When posting links, include them [URL] tags, or else they're apt to be truncated.

So, I wait for a solution.
I also tried to restart firefox, without change.
I tried to download something in Youtube and succeded.
It seems that the issue is due to DailyMotion.

I cannot reproduce, sorry.
I get a single 316MB file like therube (315MB if I add ?start=19).

Could you check whether this happens in a clean profile as well?

Also, since you said it's been latest update, could you find the most recent version which doesn't have this problem among those listed at http://flashgot.net/feed?t=a ?
Thanks!

Hello everybody,

Power and Internet stroke since friday. I can't try again.
so I'll be back asap.
French power and internet are unreliable.
I took the opportunity of a short time with a net, outside of home, to post.
Is there a way to get an older version of flashgot to try downloading when power and internet are repaired ?

Hello,
Power and internet come, at times.

I tried with flashgot 1.4.8.4 with no success.
I tried with Download helper, Fast video download, and it's the same mess.

So I think it's a daily motion issue and not a flashgot issue.

Hello,
Power and internet seem to be OK since half an hour so ..
No matter what I try, I always get nothing except for little pieces.
I even try with StreamTransport and I only find the commercials !
I also try with Internet Explorer 8. Same thing.
It doesn't work.

For those who succeeded, are you european or american or english people ?
Is there anyone living in France able to download this video (with flashgot, download helper, fast video download, anything else) ?

Hello,

Internet was interrupted for 4 days due to simple wind ! Lucky us, we don't have hurricanes !

So, now it works.
I tried again and get same issue with Dailymotion.

I'm back again.

No more result with Firefox 16.0.2.
I wrote to Dailymotion and I'm waiting for the answer.

Is this a bug or a bad buffering in dailymotion in France ? Wait and see.

Hello,

after six days, internet is now working normally !

so, I think my letter to Dailymotion has reach it's purpose : now I can download as much video as I want.

I'll never know what happens.
Never mind, thanks to you, people.
And all my thought for those who are victims of Sandy.
