Since the latest update, I can't watch things unless totally disable from the add-ons or IE.
I watch tv on my computer and liked that in the past I only had to disable one or two scriptings to watch what I wanted. Now even if I temporarily or permanently allow the page it doesn't work, and I either have to go in and totally disable - which makes it pointless to have noscripts or use IE which is even a worse idea security-wise.
Only HULU isn't affected, but NBC and several anime sites, etc. noscripting isn't working at all when disabled even for the full page either temp or permanent and I literally have to go to addons and disable noscripts and then shut down the FF and restart it to watch what I want to watch and repeat to turn back on when finished. I think this is dangerous and really hate it - and it's at all the anime sites I've checked to be fairly safe.
What can I do?
Are others having the same problem is it being worked on?
I've been using Noscripts for a long time (a few years) and love the fact that I can disable for just what is safe and needed and then enable the noscripting again once I finish watching something but still want to be on that site.

nbc.com/the-tonight-show/video
any of the new episodes from (haven't checked out any old - maybe those too) from:
watchanimeon.com
goodanime.net
animefreak.tv
animeseason.com
gogoanime.com
there have been other sites I can't remember - when I didn't know what was going on and would google specific episodes and check out the sites to see if fairly safe and tried to watch there also.
It doesn't want me to post the urls even with clicking url above and getting this message:

Re: new version doesn't let me watch tv/anime
(I started by Resetting NoScripts options...)
URL: Highschool of the Dead Episode 12
There are two players on that page
Allowed gogoanime.com
Clicked the placeholder for the first player (& then again & then again, I believe it was)
At that point playback began
The second player would have been more difficult.
Wasn't sure just what was needed & lots of domains came up, so I just Temporarily Allowed All.
At that point, I was able to start the second player.
If I used the site regularly, I'd figure just which domain(s) were required & only allow those.

Re: new version doesn't let me watch tv/anime
All the anime sites have multiple players, and in the past just had to allow temporarily for the player (some players need more than one domain allow) - or/and some sites - some sites don't need to allow; however, that is not working any more - even if allowing for the page(s).
I've been using noscripts for years and also watching anime for years and also using the NBC site for years without problem until the last update.
Do you think it has anything to do with the way it was loaded when it updated and needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled?
Nothing works unless I disable from add-ons and restart FF. I don't want to disable noscripts, but if it's no longer working properly there is no reason to have it. Noscripts has stopped intrusions more often than any of my other protection combined.
Could the last update conflict with any other FF addons? I posted to my regular tech site and they asked me to disable one by one until found the culprit and it was noscirpts. I also have cookies monster, WOT, linkextend, redirect remover, ghostery, adblock plus, norton vulnerability protection, FEBE, better privacy, and flag fox.
However, I do all my media watching from the computer and that is what I use the computer mostly for - so do need it to work.
So how do I fix this?

Re: new version doesn't let me watch tv/anime
A better approach is to make a new profile with only NoScript and see whether the problem persists, then restore addons one by one. therube wasn't able to reproduce, so can you try this?Tierra93 wrote:I posted to my regular tech site and they asked me to disable one by one until found the culprit and it was noscirpts. Re: new version doesn't let me watch tv/anime
I disabled everything but noscripts and had the same problem trying to watch NBC. I've not tried to watch anime, as won't be watching any until tomorrow.
Noscripts seems to be the problem.

Re: new version doesn't let me watch tv/anime
this morning I tried to watch FairyTail at watchanime and some would look like starting but not start and grey out the controls (even with allowing the page), some would start but when enlarged only play same small size in upper right corner.
I went to goodanime and was able to watch fine.
the tonight show on NBC from last night doesn't load - just circle going round and round - the same since the update.
I've heard that problems like these (from another source) are usually caused by noscripts or ghostery - never had this problem before with noscripts in several years of usage. Ghostery doesn't seem to be the problem.
