[UNRELATED] "Enable facebook like button" a bit intrussive

Post by vexorian »

I applaud that noscript now blocks these buttons. But the text is a bit too long. Makes the button sometimes intrude parts of the web page.

I suggest at least adding an option for a more compact version. How about it replaces the text with "Like" (or whatever the button normally says" but stricken out. ?

An example is cracked.com : http://www.cracked.com/blog/5-ways-you- ... our-brain/ the "Enable facebook like button" text overlaps with the article text.

If I must:

But yes, it is likely you need to enable some scripts...

It was the first example I could think of , but it has happened to me in other sites. So let me look for more...

Here's techcrunch:

I initially forgot this happens with other buttons similar to the facebook one.

That message is NOT from NoScript.
Please check the other extensions you've got installed (Ghostery? Better Privacy?...)

BP doesn't do it, and Ghostery just adds a picture of themselves on top of it, has to be something else but it is DEFINITELY NOT NoScript. Post a list of your addons if you don't know which one is doing it, and we can tell you which one is doing it.
