firefox built in download manager
can someone help, i love using flashgot with firefox, but i dont use a download manager, just let firefox built in manager do the downloading, is there a way i can set a max down of files. basically when i choose mulitple files to download, can i make it so it only downloads 5 links at a time, instead of all of them at once

Re: firefox built in download manager
No, there's no way.
If you prefer not to use an external download manager (why?) you can use DownThemAll, which is supported by FlashGot too.

Re: firefox built in download manager
is this something intergrated in firefox or a separate application, can this let me download links using flashgot and set a max of downloads at a time, lets say i have 10 files i want to download but only download 5 or 4 at a timeGiorgio Maone wrote:No, there's no way.

It is a Firefox add-on.Guest wrote: is this something intergrated in firefox or a separate application
Yes it can. It works like an external download manager, but it "lives" inside Firefox.Guest wrote: Can this let me download links using flashgot and set a max of downloads at a time, lets say i have 10 files i want to download but only download 5 or 4 at a time
An external download manager (which I recommend) has one important advantage, though: it survives browser restarts and can be set to start downloading automatically after suspensions/reboots.

Re: firefox built in download manager
FWIW, I just successfully downloaded 115 links with 'Browser Built in' using SeaMonkey 2
.
One up for the lizard!
Some downloaded, some downloading, some queued.

Not that I know of.
Anything related to "built-in" would be "Mozilla".
Though suppose FlashGot could have some kind of listener & only ferret out X many requests at a time.
But why bother, when you could use a third-party download manager.
