[RESOLVED] NS Icon gone after update from Fx 3.x to Fx 4+
Re: NoScript Icon disappears after updating from Fx 3.x to F
Yes, I *know* it is called the "Add-On Bar". I'm just used to calling it a status bar, so kindly do not nitpick me.
I did the rest, and it worked. resolved.

And we would appreciate you not having such a paper thin skin and moving on without being so offended on a simple clarification given Tom still uses 3.x and in that its called a Statusbar and since this topic covers that version, it was a simple enough clarification which didn't needed you throwing a fit. You got your issue resolved, right? so simply say thank you and move on.El Cid wrote:Yes, I *know* it is called the "Add-On Bar". Re: NoScript Icon disappears after updating from Fx 3.x to F
To clarify, I was not nit-picking, nor intended any offense. There is a large difference in behavior between the F3 Status Bar and the F-later Add-on bar. I use both browsers, so I see this constantly. It was important to establish that we're talking about the same thing, and that you were aware of the change and its effect. And it is useful to call it by its official name, so that we're all on the same page.GµårÐïåñ wrote:And we would appreciate you not having such a paper thin skin and moving on without being so offended on a simple clarification given Tom still uses 3.x and in that its called a Statusbar and since this topic covers that version, it was a simple enough clarification which didn't needed you throwing a fit. No reason to take offense. We don't know what your tech level is, or what you do and don't know, so we need to ask questions or make clarifications.
As an unpaid volunteer for a *freeware* product -- you don't ever have to donate a penny to use the product or get support -- kindly do not jump on me for trying to ensure the most complete information and do my job the best that I can.
Apology accepted.

Another update cycle without 3.6, now might be the time to unpin this thread and let it float away into the hardly visible realm.dhouwn wrote:Maybe wait a little bit until standalone Firefox 3.6 is officially unsupported (end of April)?
Good-night, sweet thread.

First, in Options-General, you can turn off the 'allow site when menu button is clicked' behavior.

Re: [RESOLVED] NS Icon gone after update from Fx 3.x to Fx 4
(for clarification, in case it meant anything...)
I obtained the NoScript icon back but again for that reduced appropriate corner, but subsequent establishing Firefox 4 the important thing features differently. before it opened the small menu where by I could choose what I desired to allow, but now in FF4 it just allows every thing regarding the world wide website when I generally click it. If i'd want to choose what to allow separately, i need to mass media the small straight down arrow that is long-term to it, knowning that is genuinely somewhat annoying now that i am utilized to pressing the important thing instead.
(ah, i see, it meant nothing, oh well, leaving in any case)in Options-General, you can turn off the 'allow site when menu button is clicked' behavior

It did look that way, but I was giving the benefit of the doubt and assuming English as a second language (probably not)
. Want me to delete my reply?

Re: [RESOLVED] NS Icon gone after update from Fx 3.x to Fx 4
You know, that might not actually have been garbage. From what I could tell, the comment was talking about NoScript's 'click icon to toggle top-level site permissions' feature (which the commenter mistakenly thought had first appeared in Fx 4), and there is indeed a 'small straight down arrow' next to the NoScript icon, used to bring up the menu instead of toggling. No idea what 'mass media' was supposed to mean, but if the commenter was using some kind of automated translation (which would fit the rest of the grammar), that kind of error can occur.dhouwn wrote:He/She got me until "i need to mass media the small straight down arrow".

Again, I think that this is a legitimate post translated by eg Google. But I can't figure out what it's actually saying.lovemmohome wrote:I experienced the specific same issue. the only real way i experienced been able to obtain it back once more was to reinstall the create on how how can you personalize your toolbars, sorry for the stupid question. For me the no script icon went in the reduced proper hand corner to gone, then proper following the create on re install, it now appears within the most effective still left as component in the toolbar. ABP icon experienced no transform for me regarding visibility and location.
Does this thread need to be locked?

I think this should just be unpinned and allowed to go away like the old posts normally do. It serves no purpose to be pinned.therube wrote:> this is NOT a legitimate post
