Twitter Search

Post by Mc »

I used Twitter Search ( https://mobile.twitter.com/search?q=&x=0&y=0 ) for some time without any issue, but now it doesn't work any longer if I don't allow JavaScript and cookies. Could be Twitter changed something, but at least with mobile.twitter.com it should work as before. There is a link for temporary use without JS ( https://mobile.twitter.com/signup/disablejs ), but it redirects back to /nojs. Anything NoScript does here or could do to get it working again without allowing too much?
I'm not a registered Twitter user, btw.

I'm not registered on Twitter either, but mobile.twitter.com works for me, using the User Agent Switcher addon to simulate an iPhone 3.0, without allowing any scripts or cookies. If I revert to the default user agent, then I get the nojs redirection, or if I allow the top-level site, then I get a request to store data for offline use, followed by a blank (colored) page and two entries in the error console looking like this:

Code: Select all

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "The operation is insecure." code: "18" nsresult: "0x80530012 (SecurityError)" location: "https://mobile.twitter.com/#!/search Line: 3804"]
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "The operation is insecure." code: "18" nsresult: "0x80530012 (SecurityError)" location: "https://mobile.twitter.com/#!/search Line: 3902"]

This works here too, thank you.
It's just usable for a quick search, though, but not so well if Twitter searches and other tabs are reloaded all together. Seems there is no extension, at least for SeaMonkey, which allows user agent setting per tab or host.
So a NoScript solution would be helpful, if possible.
