* The behaviour is to send all .gz files to the built in firefox downloader when "intercept all downloads" is turned on.
* There is nothing I can do to to alter this behaviour.
* The only references to gz or gzip in my about:config are to network.http.accept-encoding and to a tab mix plus setting which doesn't fix or fault this behaviour at all when changed.
Is there ANYTHING I can do to fix this?
Configuration follows:

Re: FlashGot stolidly REFUSES to download .gz files.
It's working fine for me, either if I use "intercept all downloads" or if I add "gz" to the extensions list, provided that "Autostart download" is checked as well.
Is gzip associated to anything in IceWeasel's "Applications" preference tab?
Could you try on a clean profile?

Re: FlashGot stolidly REFUSES to download .gz files.
(Just for reference, some GZs here, http://platan.vc.cvut.cz/ftp/pub/vmware/.
With gz added as explained, 17 .gz files would be passed to your download manager.)

Re: FlashGot stolidly REFUSES to download .gz files.
Ah. I didn't have autostart turned on. With it on, it works for the mysql web site and for sourceforge now, which were my two major issues since you can't just click a link and send it to the download manager with those sites.Giorgio Maone wrote:It's working fine for me ... provided that "Autostart download" is checked as well.
Yeah, I remember turning autostart off a while back for a reason I can't quite remember. I wanted to have more control over where the file was downloaded to or something. *shrug*
Thankyou very muchly for your help.

Re: FlashGot stolidly REFUSES to download .gz files.
Ah, I remember now, it was because certain sites give you one chance to download a file in a given period and because using flashgot on those downloads (back then?) often failed. So I switched it off, not willing to risk those downloads failing.creddy wrote:Yeah, I remember turning autostart off a while back for a reason I can't quite remember.
