Google Problems

Post by AndyTake2 »

When I use Firefox and NoScript, I always block Google, as I think they are the most untrustworthy IT company in the world at present.
However, I have recently noted that when I load Firefox, the NoScript task bar does not appear, neither does anything to do with NoScript.
My whitelist does not contain any exceptions for Google, so how come it is able to bypass NoScript's blocking capabilities?

If you mean Firefox's default home page, which contains a Google search box, that's an internal (local) browser page.
You're gonna actually contact Google only if you hit the Search button: at that point, NoScript will prevent Google's scripts from running.

There is absolutely no bypass of NS, its impossible and you can hate google like myself and many others and still use parts of their services without allowing all of it. I allow maps.google.com, ajax.google.com, this and that .google.com but not google.com itself, I let that get blocked by default. I don't outright untrust it because I want to be presented with the subdomains as I encounter them should I want them.

In all fairness, at the height of being evil M$ was never as bad as G00gle is today. At least M$ never wrote a mission statement saying do no evil and then obviously do it, G00gle made a whole big deal about doing no evil and yet EVERYTHING they do follows an evil agenda of some kind. Its quite sad actually.
