clearly add-on compatibility

Post by asymmetric »

hi,

the clearly addon (formerly known as readable and recently acquired by Evernote), which solves the same problem as readability, requires that the page i want to "make readable" be allowed in noscript.

i remember this also used to happen with the official readability add-on, and iirc it was fixed by NoScript.

i'd like to know why this is happening (after all, the js of the local page does not need being executed for the add-on to work), and if there's a possible fix on the NoScript side.

thanks!

Nope.
The fix is definitely possible on the Clearly's side (i.e. executing their scripts through Components.utils.Sandbox).
You should ask them if they are willing to do it.
