Hello,
Currently I have forced https enabled for *.google.com, and also enabled automatic secure cookie management to force encrypting of cookies from *.google.com.
I noticed that while I can log into gmail without any problems, if I then try to access reader.google.com (on a new tab, while still logged into gmail in the old tab), it would ask me to login again. I did that but then google returned a page saying that I need to clear my browser cache and delete the old cookie, etc. I tried doing that but somehow I still cannot access my google reader homepage.
I have tried adding reader.google.com to the ignore unsafe cookies field, but it doesn't seem to help.
I do have a work around -- instead of forcing cookie encryption from *.google.com, I only force cookie encryption on mail.google.com. However, if anyone know of a way so that I can have NS force cookie encryption on all google domains except reader.google.com, I'd greatly appreciate your help!

My wife had a similar problem on Facebook when using automatic secure cookies and HTTPS Finder. Solution was to set Facebook preferences to always use HTTPS
