Re:[FIXED] Google Music site no longer plays music
@Giorgio, I have a 32-bit and used only 32-bit for this test case and there was no issue for me, so how was this confirmed to be a 32 bit issue? Can you either here, or via email or PM send me your test case scenario because I encountered no issue. Before we file a report, let's make sure we can actually reproduce it and sorry I wasn't online sooner to provide you the US credentials you needed, in the future just send me an email. I had the account and the credentials and everything setup, you could have just borrowed it, but glad Alan provided it for you.
@therube, yeah you have to give them a credit card, which is asinine. That's why I have a test account for this kind of stuff involving Google and used that account for this purpose and even to get the free songs I had to supply a credit card. So I just uploaded some of my own songs and tested it and with the free ones put an expired discontinued card that managed to pass their dumb check. Since I have no intention of ACTUALLY buying or using this service and never will, I just needed to get to the point where I could test this issue.

The problem became academic for me now. I upgraded to Firefox 11.0 last night (which annoyingly forgot about NoScript and ImTranslator unlike other updates...), reinstalled NoScript, and voila Google Music is playing just fine now.
Thanks for the suggestions on the backup alternatives btw ^_^

Re: [FIXED] Google Music site no longer plays music
Unfortunately, Google Music refuses to operate properly (the "Oops, we have a technical issue" dialog pops up every time I try to play music).
I'm using Firefox 12.0 Beta 6 on Windows Vista 32-bit.

Could you please be a bit more specific about the technical issue?Lunch wrote:Unfortunately, Google Music refuses to operate properly (the "Oops, we have a technical issue" dialog pops up every time I try to play music).

The exact text, or a screenshot, of the pop-up?
Also, when this happens, could you please open Firefox Error Console (Ctrl+Shift+J), click "Errors", and copy any red Error messages and paste them here? Also please click "Messages", and post here any messages relating to NoScript. Thanks.

Re: [FIXED] Google Music site no longer plays music
It works for me on Nightly, as long as google.com and gstatic.com are both allowed.Lunch wrote:Unfortunately, Google Music refuses to operate properly (the "Oops, we have a technical issue" dialog pops up every time I try to play music).
Please check everything is allowed on the page (including Flash objects, if you're blocking them on whitelisted sites).
Also, please try on a clean profile with just NoScript installed and, if that's the only way to make it work, use Standard Diagnostic to search for the culprit.

Re: [FIXED] Google Music site no longer plays music
Hi
I found this thread because we were having trouble with a blog my wife is writing (www.blogger.com) [a Google product I think?], with the main problem being that she could not upload photos anymore.
After updating everything I could think of, including: NS to 2.4.3 [from 2.4.2], Java [both 32 and 64bit versions], and checking that we are running the latest FF [12.0], on a Win 7 OS machine, I was at a lost until another symptom I had noticed got me thinking... and that was where I temporary allowed [in NS] anything to do with Google in the web address it was hanging... even the bog standard Google search page which was reloaded when I restarted FF after disabling/enabling a plug in would not finish loading.
Reviewing what other plugins were installed, I realized that I had also installed anther little plug in at about the same time I installed NS, and that is "GoogleSharing 0.22" see www.googlesharing.net/ ... and after disabling GoogleSharing everything seems to be back working fine. ... I'm guessing that Google and Google products [like Blogger] didn't like GoogleSharing doing what ever it was doing in mixing things up so that Google did not know who it was coming from.....
Anyway I hope this might help anyone else who might be searching this problem, even though it dose not specifically relate to the problem Google music per se, nor was it an NS problem in the end.
Kind Regards

Thanks for the report, but would you consider contacting Google support, so that any such conflict could be resolved on their end?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: [FIXED] Google Music site no longer plays music
I am sure this was nothing more than a plug for GoogleSharing.net as nothing provided addressed any current, existing, pending or relevant issues. It was just a ramble which pointed to something that has nothing to do with anything.

Ehh... it was a report of a conflict within Google, as was the OP; the IP indeed traces to Australia as per OP's signature (not exactly a hot-spot for high-volume spammers).... I don't see ill will here, and one single mention matters little. I'd leave it, and hope that OP comes back with a report that Google has fixed it.GµårÐïåñ wrote:I am sure this was nothing more than a plug for GoogleSharing.net as nothing provided addressed any current, existing, pending or relevant issues. If others do indeed run into it, you know that often NS is the first target of blame. So it could be useful. IMHO.
