Kaspersky scanning flashgot each firefox startup

This causes firefox slow startup, using firefox 3.0.10. Any idea how ?

Because the FlashGot.exe process is launched to check for supported download managers.
You can work-around either whitelisting it in Kasperski (if such a feature exist) or disabling automatic download manager detection from FlashGot Options|Advanced (once your download manager has been detected once, you don't need it anymore until you remove it and/or install another).
