Support for uploading.com

Post by pspcrazy »

Hi i'm wondering if you'll be able to add support for uploading.com files, as when i trying to select many of them at once and download, it just downloads the html file, i'm a premium member btw.

Let me know if you need anything to make it work.

Hi!
I have a problem using FlashGot with uploading.com.
Actually I use a downloading tool "Universal Share Downloader aka USD" that deals with uploading.com link. So the complete toolchain is:
FireFox -> FlashGot -> USD
All I need is a simple transfer of unchanged link to this program. But it seems that FlashGot makes some preprocessing of link. If so, then it makes it incorrect. In most of cases i get in USD a link "http://uploading.com/premium/". The bad thing is a lost of original link, so I can't restore them.
Example of problem:
original link: http://uploading.com/files/TQT261BZ/IMC ... V.rar.html
obtained link: http://uploading.com/premium/
Fragment of FlashGot log:
-----------------start log--------------------------
Preprocessing done in ms3895
Starting dispatch
Converting 219963 long job to charset UTF-8
Writing 220060 bytes...
Running C:\Program Files\USDownloader\USDownloader.exe http://uploading.com/premium/ -- async
Dispatch done in ms92
Total processing time: ms4070
-----------------end log--------------------------
Where is a problem? If FlashGot really makes that preprocessing is it possible to disable them?

I suspect it will be the same answer as this, gwget + flashgot all.

@Alex:
if you really want to disable the preprocessing (which works for premium accounts only), you just need to create a new about:config boolean preference named flashgot.redir.uploading_com.enabled and set it to false.

O, thank you very much! That was precisely what I need. After creating this setting with a 'false' value all works fine. Don't know why it affects me. I have no premium account.

Where can I read about another options to disable all sorts of preprocessing?

Ah, ok.
So you are never actually visiting the uploading.com website itself.

You are finding a link, such as you posted above (original link:) & FlashGot'ing that.
It is then USD that is actually waiting, then obtaining the actual download link.
So all USD needs is the original link: URL passed on to it.

Without the change Giorgio suggested, instead of the URL you want, you end up with "http://uploading.com/premium/".
And with the change, it is the web page address itself that gets passed, http://uploading.com/files/TQT261BZ/IMC_sovrem_TV.rar.html.

(I suppose this is the correct link for Universal Share Downloader v1.3.5.3? It's been a long time since I've used it, back when dimonius was supporting it directly on his board.)
