FlashGot trying to conect internet

OK, so this morning I log onto my account (win xp home) and and then suddenly I get a warning from my firewall that that some application is trying to send a packet to the internet (I beleive it was port 443). After some googling I found that informaction.com is accociated with flashgot, which is ok, but why then does it try to use another application to send a packet (unfortunately I didnt save the contents of a packet)???
