Can't d/l streaming vids any more

Post by dj1917 »

Flashgot used to be simple- When I went to a page with a video stream on divxden or vidbux, etc, an icon would appear in my toolbar, I would click it, and I could download the video to watch later. Now that icon doesn't appear, and I can't find an option in the menus. So how can I download videos now? Any help much appreciated. :?:

URLs?

They may (now) be using a protocol that FlashGot cannot see, like RTMP.

Similar issue here. I used to (as of a few days ago) be able to go to youtube, search for and play any video and I would ge teh blinking "flashgot media" logo. NO MORE BLINKING "FLASHGOT MEDIA" LOGO. Seems to have stopped registering and working with .flv / .swf files. I even added those file types in flashgot options and still no luck.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of flashgot...no avail???

Both working on my end as expected, getting the FlashGot media icon for each.

The Youtube clip you are viewing is Flash? (A right-click on the clip should tell you.)

Maybe something here (cookies), Youtube video download problem will help?

(Ah, & I see you are on an old FF ...)

Also works in FF 3.6.24.

ABP (as of it's 2.0 version) now shows this:
Core

Minimal required Firefox version is now Firefox 3.6.12, older versions are no longer supported. Similarly, at least Thunderbird 3.1.7 or SeaMonkey 2.1 are required, Songbird and Prism are no longer supported.
So seemingly some sort of change occurred around that time frame that affects (can affect) particular extensions, including FlashGot & ABP.
