Latest stable release: 2.2.1
latest development build changelog goes from v 2.2.2rc5 to 2.2.3rc1.
It seems there was never a 2.2.2 stable release.
To enhance my own knowledge of the versioning system, does some structural change of a certain degree cause a third-digit bump, rather than going to 2.2.2rc6, rc7, etc., until there can be a stable 2.2.2?
