Center mouse button Icon for allthispage

Post by bmaz121 »

I have been to certain web sites like Western Union where the status bar has an icon to the left, notification of the number of scripts active and blocked then to the far right an options button
Most status bars displays have a different lay out and on this display the noscript icon for "all this page" that I use with a click of the center mouse button to allow all this page is missing. Usaly this icon is on the right side before the menu button. I see a noscript icon to the far left but the center mouse button does not work when in this configuration. Why is that display different and why no icon with Center click ability on the right for this web site?

If we're talking about www dot westernunion.com, I don't see any icon on the left side of the status bar, only the usual NoScript icon on the right side. (which is enabled in NS Options > Appearance > Status Bar icon). And opening the menu, whether by the hover method or by clicking, produces options to allow all the page and to temporarily allow all the page.

Could you please confirm that this is the site in question, and also, any other sites where this occurs?

Even better would be a screenshot showing this left-side icon.

Also, looks like Firefox version is 3.6.3. Should be updated to latest, which in the 3 series is 3.6.23 at the moment. Is NoScript also updated to latest version?

That is the Notification bar.

NoScript Options | Notifications -> Show message about blocked scripts

OK, but OP's
"Most status bars displays have a different lay out "
implied that it happened at only a few pages and not at others. Surely more than a few pages have something blocked?

Still don't quite "get" the middle-click issue. Any ideas there?

I guess he can't center-click the Notification bar to T/A (as he can do with the NoScript icon) & is expecting to be able to do so.

@ bmaz12: In NoScript > Options > Notifications, if you have "Show message about blocked scripts" checked, try unchecking it, and see if you get the middle-click that you want.

If you still would like the notifications to be displayed, leave the above checked, but right beneath it, uncheck "Place message at the bottom".

This should place the message at the top, and the lower NS icon should function as expected.

Please let us know whether this solves the problem.
