must disable noscript for space.com videos

Post by ginahoy »

I'm a newbie NoScript user. I'm not able to access videos posted at space.com. I allowed all scripts on page, and also tried disabling Flashblock and Adblock Plus, to no avail. I just get a gray background where the video should appear. Disabling NoScript does the trick.

Here's an example: http://bit.ly/pH5gpP

Is there something I can change in the options menu to use this site?

You just need to allow myspace.com and brightcove.com.

Thanks. Allowing Brightcove.com did the trick. Works fine for me with myspace marked as untrusted.

Strangely, brightcove.com did not show up on the pop-up options menu, which would normally happen for any previously blocked scripts that try to load (brightcove was listed under "Untrusted" or "Recently Blocked Sites", along with many others that weren't needed). Instead, I clicked on "Temporarily allow all this page" (often I have to do this more than once if another script attempts to load after the initial page view).

So my question is, why didn't "Allow brightcove.com" show up on the pop-up options menu? And why didn't "Allow all on this page" work?

Although uncommon, this is not the first time this has happened.
