Hello, yeah I can't download video clips anymore either. I'm using FFv3 and FGv131. Also verified in about:config that setting is set true.

Cannot fix anything until you tell me at least one page where the video is downloaded by 1.3.0.6 but not by 1.3.1wbm wrote:after it loads up just don't upgrade it until its fixed.

Re: can't dowload videos
hi,
I'm having the same problem on ff 3.6.13 and flashgot 1.3.1 and I also checked and the value is set to true but I still can't download even from youtube which I could before.
so for the time being I rolled back to 1.3.0.6
here's one of the links I tried that didn't work

Re: can't dowload videos
Hello.
First, to the developer on this forum, let me say thank you for an amazing piece of software, and your ongoing support!
I'm not sure why any of the other posters here wouldn't provide you with an example page, but I am having the same issue. I have been able to download video without problem using version 1.3.0.6 and the OS and browser listed below. Since version 1.3.1 came out, the option to download media is never present (and when "show disabled commands" is selected it is always greyed out). Nothing in the OS or browser has changed. Installing flashgot 1.3.0.6 restores the ability to download media.
I have this problem with all webpages containing video under flashgot 1.3.1, but for the purpose of providing you an example, please check the following that I pulled up randomly from youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hb92wQpPG-s
(The video on this page does download using "flashgot-1.3.0.6.xpi" and does not using "flashgot-1.3.1.xpi".)
System specification for both are:
Lucid Puppy version 5.0.1
SeaMonkey 2.0.5 (Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.10) Gecko/20100504 SeaMonkey/2.0.5)
Thanks in advance for your assistance with this issue.

Working here:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14
FlashGot 1.3.1
You are getting the FlashGot Media icon with both versions of FlashGot?
It goes through the download motions - either with a download manager or Browser Built-In?
It is only that nothing downloads?
If so, [Possible Deadlock?] different downloaders bug ?
IOW, if you disable flashgot.media.forceCacheAsFile do things then work for you?

Re: can't dowload videos
I have the latest version installed all the links work fine for me. You sure you don't have something else preventing it or causing a problem? Have you tried with a clean profile to see if it really is FlashGot and not something else?

Re: can't dowload videos
Thanks to "therube" for the follow-up. In answer to your questions:
You are getting the FlashGot Media icon with both versions of FlashGot? No. Only get the media option with 1.3.0.6, not with 1.3.1. As noted prior, nothing else has changed on the system except FlashGot (this is on a system that boots a clean system off of a CD each time and runs entirely in RAM, and FlashGot is loaded new over the internet when needed).
It goes through the download motions - either with a download manager or Browser Built-In? Since there is no way to select "FlashGot Media" (not in menu; and if "Hide disabled commands" is turned on, it is greyed out), it is definitely not attempting to download anything. I did change download manager to Axel, Wget, and Browser Built In, to see if this affects FlashGot "recognizing the stream" - it doesn't make a difference.
IOW, if you disable flashgot.media.forceCacheAsFile do things then work for you? Please excuse my ignorance, but I am not sure how to do this, and did not find anything related to it under the FlashGot options...More Options.
I notice that you tested this with SeaMonkey 2.0.14 (whereas I have 2.0.5) and did not have a problem. When I first had the problem with the no media option in SeaMonkey, I did download the latest version of Firefox on the same Lucid Puppy 5.0.1 system and had the same issue. It is certainly possible that it is time to update my version of Puppy Linux and browser, but I tend to operate under the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it model".
My thanks in advance for your assistance!

Re: can't dowload videos
Sorry for posting twice in a row - I should have checked that newer version of SeaMonkey first, and then posted - a truly blockheaded move.
On my Lucid Puppy 5.0.1 system, I just updated SeaMonkey from 2.0.5 to 2.0.14 via the Help menu auto update. The installed FlashGot (version 1.3.1) that was not showing a Media option now DOES and works as it always did!
I promise to make an effort to stay up to date in the future - there are clearly things that don't age quite as gracefully as we do. Again, my thanks for all of the friendly and professional assistance.

OK, confirmed.
FlashGot 1.3.1
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.11) Gecko/20100701 SeaMonkey/2.0.6

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.11) Gecko/20100701 SeaMonkey/2.0.6
= FlashGot Media
flashgot.media.forceCacheAsFile setting made no difference.
Nothing to note in Error Console that I saw?
A change when you reimplemented the Cache? Current browsers & older browsers certainly had different /cache/ layouts.
Again the last of the SeaMonkey 2.0, 2.0.15pre series was unaffected by the FlashGot version.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.20pre) Gecko/20110606 SeaMonkey/2.0.15pre

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.7) Gecko/20100713 Firefox/3.6.7
(There are older FF's noted above.)
Looks to be a bunch of Luddites around. (Er, I've been known to be called that myself
