is this safe enough?

Post by coldest »

ok, i use FF 3.6+ version along with ABP+, NS as security extension and i also have ad muncher 4.81 and kespersky anti-virus + sandboxies + comodo firewall + HIPS + anti-malware . Is that safe enough to surf anywhere on the web? if not, what should i use add next?

Your eyes wide open and your brain connected.
We use to say that the weakest link in the computer security chain sits between the keyboard and the chair.

So yes, you can go everywhere as long as you don't start to "Allow" everything in NoScript, or to blindly answer "Yes" to any security prompt, or to install anything from sites you're not sure (via valid HTTPS certificate) about.

Ditto, something we have said for a long time is that security is proactive. The minute you become complacent and rely ONLY on your tools to protect you and forgo common sense, you are done for. When a prompt happens, evaluate, analyze, think, research and then decide. When in doubt, don't allow it. Trust but verify. Be confident, but carry a big stick.
