Media Icon does not appear when intercepting content
Media Icon does not appear when intercepting content
I am using the latest firefox 6.0 and when playing any kind of media on a site, the Media icon will not pop up. When right clicking the page itself I still have the option to select from the Media menu button. Pressing ctrl+F7 also works.

If you disable all other extensions except for FlashGot, does the icon re-appear?

What toolbars have you got visible (you need either the navigation or the add-on one visible for the icon to be shown).

Re: Media Icon does not appear when intercepting content
I tried to disable all other extensions, but this did not work.
This situation all started when i had to reinstall firefox. I have the same visual setup as before with the navigation toolbar visible. Previously the icon would appear immediately to the left of the "awesome bar."
I assume that the next step will be to try anther clean un/install, which won't be fun

Re: Media Icon does not appear when intercepting content
I don't care specifically about the icon, but as far as i can tell, right-clicking it is the only way to select files individually to download. For instance, when loading a Youtube video and switching aspect ratios, multiple media track will appear for download, when i would only want the high-res version.
If the icon cannot be fixed, is there another way to select individual media files for download??

No. Could you try right-click Customize on any Toolbar, then using the "Restore Default Set" button?Mailman23 wrote:If the icon cannot be fixed, is there another way to select individual media files for download??

Re: Media Icon does not appear when intercepting content
Although restoring the default didnt work directly, i found the solution! Within the customize menu, i found the Media Icon within the list of icons to drag and add to a toolbar. I have looked for this option before, but could not find it. I believe that a media source must be active at the time of opening a menu, thus making this icon active as well. Thank for your help!
