Starting with Firefox 4 I got a problem with my IP cam that I thought was due to Firefox itself. So I stayed with Firefox 3.6 for quite some time. Today I found that the same problem did not happen with all add-ons disabled. As soon as I enabled noscript I got my problem again.
The problem is both on Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux. On Windows, Firefox starts to use an increasing amount of memory until the system runs out and terminates Firefox. On Ubuntu it shows an increasing amount of memory being used mainly by Xorg and firefox-bin. At some point the system starts swapping like mad. To be honest I did not wait for it to crash...
I made a bugzilla on mozilla first. The link is: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=682817
There is a zip file attached with a single html page and an image that reproduces the problem:

I cannot reproduce with your file (with scripts allowed on that page).
Did you actually try on a clean profile with just NoScript installed?

I've updated bugzilla. Do you prefer to have the discussion on this forum or on bugzilla?
After the test with the latest dev version I also disabled NoScript and could not see the jumpy memory usage I am seeing with NoScript enabled
As I said on bugzilla it kind of feels like a garbage collector does not get the time to free memory. As soon as I close the tab the situation goes back to normal.

It's OK on bugzilla, since it does seem to be a (slowed down) garbage collector issue.
In fact, on a fast enough system (like mine) memory stays in control, even though manages to spike over the gigabyte (then falls back in the tens of megabytes).
