[INVALID] No Script 2.1.2.6rc8 and Mcafee SiteAdvisor 3.4.0

Post by Philf »

I just downloaded the new version of Mcafee Site Advisor, which is now compatible with FF5.0, but I find that there is a conflict with NS.
I am experiencing continual javascript application error pop-ups:
As soon as No Script is disabled, no more errors.
(Allowing scripts globally does not have any effect.)

Exc in EVhandl: TypeError: this.annotatePage is not a function

Exc in EVhandl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data!

I am hoping that this can be resolved by a simple setting in No Script, and that someone can advise me on this.

Thank you.

Posted this here on Friday, but it seems like my initial post was somehow overwritten by the above:

I have downloaded the newest version of SiteAdvisor, and have determined that for me, there is a conflict with NoScript (ver 2.1.2.6rc8, running Windows 7 and FF 5.0)

I am experiencing continual javascript application error pop-ups:
As soon as No Script is disabled, no more errors.
(Allowing scripts globally does not have any effect.)

Exc in EVhandl: TypeError: this.oRoot.enable is not a function
Exc in EVhandl: TypeError: this.annotatePage is not a function
Exc in EVhandl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data!

I am hoping that this can be resolved by a simple setting in No Script, and that someone can advise me on this.

Thank you.

Additional info: On another machine running XPPro, I am having the same issue, but to eliminate the popup errors, I need to disable TACO w/ Abine and Ad Block Plus, in addition to No Script.

OT: What just happened in this thread? Hopefully the forums DB is not about to explode.

Gosh, I hope not. It may have been a moderation error. I've deleted the spam post and replaced the original one. Let me know if you have further problems.

It would seem very poor coding on McAfee's side, looking at the symptoms...

Turns out that the conflict was with the Organize Status Bar add-on, and not with NoScript!
