From Google Translate (to save anyone else the trouble, except Giorgio):
Italian to English translation
I followed the advice of pedroed were to 16:00 and in fact appeared in cookies to facebook
a cookie noscript, deleting that before I could open the pages remained blank
I reconnected to 21:30 and all the problems have disappeared, in fact between cookies
no longer that of noscript

Just to summarize, this will work:
* allow permanently facebook.com
* fbcdn.net is not need to be allowed permanently
* go to Preferences > Privacy > remove individual cookies
* in the search box type "facebook"
* one of the cookies will be called "noscript"
* remove that cookie.

Clicking links on the main page (which open groups, for example, in another tab) will now work.

Maybe it's Facebook trying to discourage the use of NoScript or something? Why do they need a cookie called noscript? If they presented something else other than a blank page, but they don't...

latest development build shouldn't require resetting the cookie and restarting the browser, because it contains a script surrogate which deletes the cookie as soon as scripts are enabled on facebook.com.
Could you confirm this removes the issue?

I am still getting constant errors inside games like Mafia Wars on Facebook.com when trying to send gift dialogs or request dialogs appear.

I tried clearing, rebooting, etc.

Now I constantly get a bar at the top of the screen that says
"NoScript filtered a potential cross-site scripting (XSS) attempt from [http://mwfb.zynga.com].
Technical details have been logged to the Console.

Most common errors are things like:

Warning: Expected declaration but found '*'. Skipped to next declaration.
Source File: http://static.ak.connect.facebook.com/c ... onnect-css
Line: 92

etc
Any ideas?

Facebook feeds system XSS from facebook .com

I need to know if this one comes from facebook "feature" or from one of the addon I installed or from some of the plugins I disabled

Here's the step I found out
Image

When i try to click the link, it goes to a semi-blank page(no content) only the facebook upper bar shown

But I doubt it's from the user, because, when I tried to go to his/her profile and check for the posted post..

It's different..
Here's the change when I hover my mouse on the link

May i know what's affecting the thing at the facebook newsfeed system?

I use Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars, Farmville, and a few other games on Facebook and I have NoScript, RequestPolicy, Adblock Plus, and Ghostery on there and I have no issues. have you checked to make sure that you have allowed the sites and their related resources properly? I know it was an issue for a few people and once they allowed the right stuff, it worked just fine without issue. I am using the latest NS as well as the legacy ones for over 2 years with it and have had no issues at any time. I would be willing to help you narrow down the problem if you provide me the list of extensions you use besides NS.

Hi there,

sorry for hijacking this old topic but I have the same issues as some users before, which is that after installing noscript I cannot use facebook properly. Moving the mouse over the menu items next to the FB logo (messages, mentiones etc.) will not popup anything, clicking on them doesn´t do anything. Also the drop down menu on the right (the one for logout, account etc.) does not work. I have done now (I think) any trick mentioned here (deleting cookies, resetting noscript options) but I just cannot get FB to work properly. Funny thing is that also after disabling NS this issue persists. I´m using Firefox 15.0.1 and Windows 7.

Key quote, which tells us it's not NoScript.
Could you try disabling all your other extensions and double checking JavaScript is enabled from Firefox's own "Content" options panel?

Thanks Giorgio, it looks like it´s not a NoScript issue but a cookie setting issue within Firefox.

I have set the "accept Cookies from third parties" option to "ask everytime" and this seems to cause the issue. Now I have set it to "until they are not valid anymore" and it works just fine. Not sure why FB is affected by this setting but I´ll investigate further. Case closed :-)

I know this issue has been described as case closed because the OP found it to be a "cookie setting issue within Firefox". However I am having the EXACT same issue and it DOES stop as soon as I disable NoScript. I have tried adding facebook.com and fcbdn.net to the whitelist, I've tried allowing Java, I've even tried the soft disable option for NoScript (allow scripts but disallow tracking etc) but I continue to have all the problems described above with facebook until I completely disable NoScript and then facebook works perfectly. I am using a fairly recent version of Firefox (reinstalled it about 3 months ago). Is there another fix available? I'd love to be able to keep using NoScript, but this is the family computer and I am the most computer savvy one (and that's not saying much!) so resetting things for a particular site each time isn't really feasible. Thanks in advance.

What sites can you Allow or Forbid on your NoScript menu?

Hi Thrawn, I haven't been able to see where in the NoScript menu I would find the answer to your question. There is the Whitelist obviously, which I've already mentioned adding the two facebook sites as "Allowed", but beyond that I don't know how I Allow and Forbid certain sites. Can you direct me to a particular tab? Or if it's the Whitelist you're asking about -it's a long list, but all except the facebook sites were populated by the standard NoScript installation. Thanks
