Re: aurora / firefox 6.0a2
Looks like a version bump is in order.
Currently it shows only up to 6.0a1.
In the meantime you could, extensions.checkCompatibility.
Currently it shows only up to 6.0a1.
Code: Select all
<em:maxVersion>6.0a1</em:maxVersion>

To make it easier for the normal person to understand and not talk in riddles do the following.
[*] Open a new tab.
[*] Type about:config in the address bar.
[*] Right click anywhere on the page and click on Boolean under New.
[*] Enter this as the preference name: extensions.checkCompatibility.nightly
[*] Click OK.
[*] Choose false and then click OK again.
[*] Restart your browser and all your add-ons should be runnable again.

Re: aurora / firefox 6.0a2
Tried all the above and changed install.rdf to 8.0, but aurora 6.0a2 still won't allow flashgot to install, saying that it's corrupt.

What was the exact wording?
Where version & where did you download from? MD5 hash of same?
Oh, if you changed the .rdf, I believe it has a built-in hash check in the XPI itself, so your change did corrupt it.
Making the changes described above, there should be no reason to hack the XPI, & it should install.
Right.

(And in the same way, if you aren't familiar enough to make the changes above, should you be messing with an Alpha?)

Re: aurora / firefox 6.0a2
Thanks therube for the quick suggestion. When trying to install the official file, Aurora says it's not compatible, even I already set extensions.checkCompatibility.nightly to False.

Re: [Resolved] Flashgot no longer working after Firefox 4.0.
Hi, I think I'm getting a version bump with Flashgot v1.3.0.3rc1 at Nightly 8.0a1. Just post here to confirm it.
Thanks.
Thanks.
