I can't download anything

When I'm triying to download a YouTube video, I right click on tha flashing navigation bar icon, and I select the appropriate media, but nothing happens, the usual panel, where I can select the download location, doesn't appear. What is wrong with this?

What download manager are you using?

For example:

But I tried several ones and it doesn't work. I use the Firefox's built-in download manager, nothing more. And it doesn't work with the local manu, nor with the Ctrl + F7 key combination.

With my download manager (Net Transport), the file downloads successfully, named as "videoplayback" (expected).
And the file plays back just fine.

With (Browser Built In) selected, I get a download location dialog, & then the file proceeds to download.

But while the file name looks like, ‪"Funny_Commercial‬‏.flv", in actuality it has some (unicode?) characters within.

Oddly, WMP does not complain about it.

I got exactly the same problem, using Win7 x64, Firefox 4.01 + latest FlashGot with browser built-in download manager.
Viewing a video, clicking on the FlashGot navbar icon, happens nothing. No pop-up, nothing in FF's downloads tab, no error message.

I got exactly the same problem, using Win7 x64, Firefox 4.01 + latest FlashGot with browser built-in download manager.
Viewing a video, clicking on the FlashGot navbar icon, happens nothing. No pop-up, nothing in FF's downloads tab, no error message.

URL of the page where it happens?
Did you try CTRL+J to see whether the download had already happened (from cache)?
Does it happen in a clean profile with just FlashGot installed?
Do you get any error message in Tools>Error Console?
Could you show me your FlashGot Options|Advaned|Show Log output?

Oh, found it

For some reason, nothing was selected after install, under settings / Flashgot media / Download manager (field was empty).
Set it to browser default and works like a charm
