Can't keep site allowed.

Post by bytehead »

I'm running the xobni.com FF extension. For some reason, xobni.com won't stay saved as xobni.com. Now I'm running a couple of other (portable) FF, 5.0 beta, the 64-bit 7.0a1 nightly, Palemoon, so maybe by running those I'm managing to screw up the sync, but I would think that Sync would go with the latest/greatest, and not just over right what I've got. Maybe I need to force everybody to do a sync before I exit. I dunno. Another site I can't remember also had the same problem, even though I had set that one to always years ago.

I am also having issues for the past 2-3 days with keeping a site white-listed e.g. google.com. Running Firefox 4.0.1. Basically, every hour or so, the site (e.g. google docs) turns "not allowed" and I have to re-allow it.

@sherringham, are you using sync?

Yes I am. Firefox sync - you think this issue might be related?

A quick follow-up to myself. I see the (long) thread about Noscript and Firefox Sync, so know of potential problems, plus some of the various settings that can mitigate issues. For now, I might just disable sync sync'ing "preferences" and see if this helps across the browsers I use. It would be good to have a definitive "fix" (or suggestion) if this is the issue.

Lastly, a massive thanks for Noscript!
