Hi,
After the upgrade of FlashGot from ver. 1.2.9.2 to 1.2.9.4 something strange happened with video file recognition
in Media FlashGot. I have a problem with video file from this site:
http://www.rtve.es/alacarta/videos/la-t ... 1/1105082/
Media FlashGot recognizes this file as .mp4_type_.smil which size is 2048MB, while in fact it should be simple .mp4 file
of about 330MB as FlashPlayer info dialog shows. I have downloaded dozens of such files from the site mentioned above using
FlashGot under Firefox 3.6 and everything was correct until the last upgrade.
Help me resolve the problem please.
Regards.

Re: Media FlashGot (v. 1.2.9.4) - wrong video file recogniti
A SMIL Files is like a shortcut, if you will.
Tells you something about what you want (like where it is), but it is not the actual file itself.
I got two blips on your link.
1) the smil
2) the actual download, http://vod41.1.hd4flash.cdn.rtve.es/res ... 6eda5174a7
From the looks of it, the latter is a 55 minute broadcast.
(The download link above is unlikely to be valid, as it most likely times out.)

Re: Media FlashGot (v. 1.2.9.4) - wrong video file recogniti
Today I have tried to download the same file again. FlashGot saves the file as .mp4 now, but
it still wants to download 2048MB of data instead of 330MB, which is the real file size.
Please take a look at the wget-log output:

Re: Media FlashGot (v. 1.2.9.4) - wrong video file recogniti
The 2048MB is likely a bogus number, some kind of default or something, when the actual size cannot be determined (or is wrongly specified)?
If 330 is what it should be, I believe you'll find that when done, you'll have 330.
Yes, an mp4.
And on some streams, "Size" will display as "0", where "Completed" will show the actual download size at whatever point in time you look.
I get the same 2048 display from my download manager (Net Transport).

Re: Media FlashGot (v. 1.2.9.4) - wrong video file recogniti
At first I thought it was only a misleading file size presentation as you suggest,
but unfortunatelly download was still on progress when file size exceeded 500MB.
However, I have upgraded FlashGot to v. 1.3rc3 today and the problem has disappeared,
i.e. presented file size remains 2048 MB but downloaded file has appropriate parameters now.
