[RESOLVED] Problem with ABE

Post by MyImageProblem »

Hi Giorgio,

Thanks for a great add-on and yes I have donated.

I have found that with some Yahoo stores I have to disable ABE so that I can see the product images. I have tried the following after suggestions but it does not help...

File: USER.ABE
# User-defined rules. Feel free to experiment here.
Site *.yimg.com
Accept from *.yahoo.com
Deny

Here is the website causing the current problem. Yum.
http://theindianfoodstore.com/index.html

Notice that all of the pics have strike-through. When I turn off ABE I get the pics, but I have to remember to turn it back on after leaving that site.

Thanks for any help.

Those images seem to work for me.
Could you please show me a screenshot and any [NoScript ABE] message you can find in Tools>Error Console when this happens?

Hi Giorgio,

Thanks for the quick reply. Here are some small clips...
ABE_001
Home page for the store with the pics strike-through and NoScript menu open.

ABE_002
ABE error messages. There are about 30 of those.

ABE_003
Satisnet errors and there are bunches of those too

All the messages I can see (and very likely all the images you cannot see) are due to the USER rule you added, which prevents images from yimg.com from being loaded by sites different than yahoo.com: theindianfoodstore.com tries and fails.

Start with removing that rule, then recheck.

Thank Giorgio,

I use that Rule to stop yimg.com from displaying images in Yahoo mail and a bunch of other places.

I have two Yahoo shops that I use and would like the Rule to be lifted for just those two websites. Is that possible?
