NoScript updating without prompting first
NoScript updating without prompting first
I started Firefox 4.0 on my Mac today, and NoScript automatically updated. I know this because it opened the link to the noScript page that has the latest release info. Plus, I checked the add-on page. This isn't a problem really. I was just kind of surprised since I'm used to having a pop-up ask me if I want to download the latest version. Is this some new feature in Firefox 4? I'm still kind of getting used to Firefox 4 so I wasn't sure. It just seemed odd that it would automatically download and install the update. BTW, I did check and see that I have the box checked "ask me what to do before updating" in the Firefox preferences. Thanks.

Yes it is. They did it to make updating less obtrusive.Faris wrote:Is this some new feature in Firefox 4? I'm still kind of getting used to Firefox 4 so I wasn't sure.

That only affects updates of Firefox itself.Faris wrote:BTW, I did check and see that I have the box checked "ask me what to do before updating" in the Firefox preferences.
