Allow top-level sites by default not working

Post by dalesd »

I'm using NoScript 2.0.9.2 with Firefox 3.6.13 (portable) on WindowsXP 64-bit and checking or unchecking "NoScript Options|General|Allow top-level sites by default" has no effect. No matter what I choose, top level domains are always disabled by default, at least until I allow (or temporarily allow) them.

I use NoScript on my two Ubuntu machines without any problems. My guess is a conflict with another extension. I'll try disabling them and see if I can find the culprit.

Anything else I should try?

Could you use the NoScript Options|Export button and send me your configuration file for testing?

Sure, Giorgio. Check your email for my config file.

I think I found the conflict. It's the one extension I use on Windows that I don't use on Ubuntu. It's VWC Cocoon, from https://getcocoon.com/
It's a privacy/proxy add-on for Firefox.

When I'm not logged in to cocoon, NoScript works as expected. When I am logged in to Cocoon, that's when I get the problem described above.

Yes, you're probably right, since I cannot reproduce even importing your configuration on a Windows box.
